Youth for the Quality Care of Animals – In accordance with State Rules, the Mother Lode Fair requires all junior livestock exhibitors to complete the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals certification. To complete the course, go to www.yqcaprogram.org. Certification must be completed prior to turning in fair entry forms on June 2, 2023.

MANDATORY MARKET SWINE, SHEEP & MEAT GOAT PREWEIGH - 4/29/2023 AT THE FAIRGROUNDS: Exhibitors wishing to show and sell market swine, sheep and/or meat goats at the 2023 Mother Lode Fair must email livestock@mlfair.com BY 4/14/2023 to be placed on the preweigh appointment schedule. The schedule will be released on Facebook and this page on 4/15/2023. **Exhibitors must be present and will be expected to handle their own animals. Exceptions must be requested in writing and have pre-approval before the preweigh.
