Cowgirl Tricks and Stilt Characters

Karen QuestStrolling the fairgrounds this year will be Karen Quest and her cast of stilt characters. Dubbed “America’s Funniest Cowgirl”, Karen Quest has been blazing a trail since 1998 with her one-woman award-winning original comedy act, Cowgirl Tricks. Skillful trick roping, impressive whip cracking, outstanding audience rapport and improvisational kooky cowgirl shenanigans have proven wildly popular at domestic and international venues for audiences of all ages.

While enjoying the Fair, you can also watch for Over The Top™ Stilt Characters, straight out of the mind of Karen Quest. Each original, lovable, playful and colorful character is engaging and uplifting. With Karen’s background in theater and circus, combined with an overactive imagination, her goal is to delight, amaze, entertain and take you to new heights. Find out what a real high five feels like!

Over the Top Stilt CharactersA former circus girl with a B.A. in Theatre from California State University at Northridge (CA), juggling, clowning, acrobatics, fire-eating, unicycling, and stunt work, Karen brings with her expertise and decades of experience performing for family audiences at state and county fairs, festivals and more in 25 states and 10 countries.

Fairgoers exclaim: “I would have paid to see her, this was an amazing show for children and adults. The talent and jokes were family appropriate. That’s one show I’d watch over and over again.”

Let us buy for you at the Jr. Livestock Auction

Vintage Livestock AuctionYou can still support the exhibitors, even if you can’t attend the auction. Just authorize the SALE COMMITTEE to purchase animals at ringside on your behalf.

The Junior Livestock Auction is the climax of a year’s activity for 4-H and FFA. It is a learning and business venture. The young exhibitors select, feed and groom either a market beef, lamb or hog. These exhibitors each spend an average of 300 hours feeding and fitting their stock for the show. These are hours invested in sound education, in learning responsibility and basic principles of our free market system. The product of their year’s labor is then brought to the Fair to be judged, graded and sold.

Your support of the Junior Sale will enable these 4-H and FFA exhibitors to earn funds for college, to buy more animals and give them a background in good business. Select your animal yourself, OR have the Sale Committee help you bid.

Download the buying authorization form.
